We are not opening schools now... Reopening of schools is the headlines in recent times. Teachers and parents are pushing for the date schools will resume. Yet, health experts and others are of the view that it is not safe for students to go back to school. Kakari the convenor of TTA, formal university of teachers association of Ghana (UTAG), Dr. Harry Agbenu  are of the view that, Schools should not be in hurry to resume any moment from now with the following suggestions some schools in France  resume school with their numbers in  COVID 19 cases shooting up. Education in Ghana has a higher population considering Student in particular. Few countries in Africa have also made plans of reopening of schools. Besides, Most are of the view that  government will come out will measures on the 31st of this month as to how schools should reopened. GES promotion Results are Out.

Ghana Education Service for the first time has taken another turn as to how promotions will be done in the service. GES announced in February that the first promotional examination will begin from 20-21 of February for qualified staff. A letter dated 4th May 2020 from Ghana Education Services (GES) has it that the maiden examination results are out.  We are pleased to inform staff of Ghana Education Service that the results for the promotion test held on February 20 and 21, 2020, to various grades in Ghana Education Service have been released Out of 30,280 candidates who were shortlisted for the test, 18,475 candidates representing 61.0% were promoted . The grades for Teaching staff are. For most teachers in the fraternity, they find it uncomfortable when his name is mentioned. Dr. Opoku who is noted by many as an authoritarian, over the few days, he came on the air waves acknowledging the good work of teachers during this COVID 19 "wahalaaa". Today 1st May 2020,  Labour Day is an annual holiday to celebrate the achievements of workers.
